Loving End-of-Life Care

We know just how difficult it is to say goodbye to a pet. We've helped our own pets cross over the rainbow bridge and so we are here to offer you the same support and care as you navigate this emotional journey. Just as we provided attentive care throughout your pet's life, we are committed to guiding you through their end-of-life care with empathy and respect.

How Do I Know When It’s Time?

Knowing when to let go can feel impossible, so it’s important to be attentive to signs that may indicate it’s time to consider this option. These signs might include:

  • Persistent lethargy
  • Loss of appetite
  • Difficulty with bathroom habits
  • Severe pain or mobility issues

In these moments, our caring team will conduct a thorough and gentle examination. We aim to assist you in making the best choices for your pet’s quality of life, with a focus on their comfort and well-being.

What To Expect

When it’s time to say goodbye, we offer a private and special, calming room designed to provide privacy for you and your pet. This space is separate from our exam rooms, ensuring a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. We also have a dedicated exit for you to use, allowing for a more discrete and personal farewell.

During the euthanasia process, we invite you to take as much time as you need for final hugs and kisses. When you are ready to proceed, our veterinarian will re enter the room to insert an IV catheter. Euthanasia is a two-part process, in which we provide a sedative to soothe your pet and make them feel peaceful and sleepy. A second medication is then administered and your pet will lovingly cross over the rainbow bridge. Following their passing, we will once again give you a private moment with your loved one.

Should you need it, Allure Veterinary Partners can help with aftercare arrangements such as burial and cremation to minimize your stress.

3 Thoughts For A Peaceful Transition

Bring The Essentials:

Feel free to bring your pet's favorite toy or blanket. You may also choose to play soothing music.

Embrace Grace:

Let go of the guilt. You have arrived at this moment for a reason (one we can discuss at length to make sure you are comfortable with the decision). Know you are giving your pet the gift of peace.

Consider Prepayment:

Our team will ask for payment discreetly at the beginning of the appointment so that you may leave as soon as you're ready.

Your pets deserve a compassionate and respectful end.

We are here to guide you through this decision and honor the bond you have with your furry family member. Call us to learn about how we can support you and your pet.
